Power Outage
Power Outage
We were more fortunate than most because we had a fire place and a
generator. It has been hell. we got a little tv but really need to
do some things as soon as people quit buying stuff like batteries up. This is what I missed the most...light. We had a guest who had a wonderful flashlight that put out enough light to read by and did not need re charging. We have ordered one. I hope that this list will be helpful but hope you do not ever experience an ice storm like we had.
Buy all the batteries that you need in case of an emergency.
If you buy a generator get a really good one..ours was mediocre.
Get some oil lamps and keep them filled.
Immediately buy dry ice for the refrigerator and freezer if you don't have a generator.
Our appliances that use natural gas enabled us to have hot water in the kitchen and one bathroom.
Added to the stress is the election. I am so afraid we will lose our democracy. trump deliberately undermined faith in the democratic process. Now we are hanging by a thread. It is 3:37 and Joe still has not got the electoral votes that he needs and trump's
machinations and lying are literally making me ill.
