Oklahoma Promise is a program to promote affordable college
for children of parents making less than 50,000 a year. It
pays for tuition. Unfortunately books and living expenses
are extremely high. I am afraid that Laura will have to work
too much to keep her grades up in order to survive. We can
help some but not a lot. Blake and Sara got scholarships but
Laura is an artist and her talents are not in academic areas. They lie in fashion design.

Oklahoma ranks very low in the percentage of college graduates. I was surprised to read the statistics and find
that we are the third lowest state coming in just before
Alabama (the poorest) and Mississippi.

Did any of you here Bill Clinton's fears for the younger
generation? I feel the same way. Being plugged in and
texting an average of 60 times a day does not teach the
art of conversation or the ability to relate to other people.

I have enjoyed the Diamond Jubilee but was amazed that no
one mentioned Camilla. Her big hat was astounding. I thought that Prince Phillip really looked good before he
had to go to the hospital but someone should tell the Queen
that she should not wear white. It washes her out.
