There will be a run off in November between Kevin Stitt, the Republican candidate and Drew Edmondson, the Democratic candidate.
Kevin Stitt is ultra conservative, an anti vaxer, a Trump lover and an enemy of a woman's choice. Drew is a former attorney general and fairly liberal. Guess who I am supporting.
Unfortunately, Drew has little charisma, but he is a real sweet heart and since he knows his way around the capitol would be able to start right in and do something. He wants to tax the oil and gas industries and quit giving the huge tax breaks to industry to seduce them into coming to Oklahoma. Our state is broke. Teachers are leaving in droves because they are so poorly paid and Drew plans to fix this. Keep your fingers and toes crossed because Kevin Stitt is singing the siren song that the conservatives love to hear.
Yesterday when I went to the Governor's mansion to do my duty as a docent, we were told that there was a spy who might appear and be looking for waste and abuse of privilege. Ha, ha. No one ever appeared. The mansion was lovely with pumpkins and fall decorations. However lovely it is, I wouldn't want to live there and lose all privacy.
