Naughty Again

Rex is such a good dog that when he does something he
shouldn't it cracks us up. Quite often it takes the form of
dragging dirty socks into the family room and teasing us with
them. I laughed this morning because he got the empty package of his dental bones out of the trash and brought it
to me. The hint was not taken as he had already had one this
morning.

I am missing the laughter and fun that we had with Fredo and
Mike. We had such a good time. Too bad they live so far
away.

Bobby was really feeling rocky yesterday and had taken off
work. He got a buzz cut because he said his hair was always
falling in his food. It is not becoming. He and Ted and I
went to Hobby Lobby for a few minutes. Ted for art supplies,
Bobby for decor. He got a fabulous poster of Alice In Wonderland previously and wanted to follow it up with more
movie art. He is so weak that mostly he has been in bed. I
went just to be with them.

I am having a Father's Day meal for both of them tomorrow
night. Ted has certainly done Grandfather duty although he
has no children of his own, he is Papa Ted.

Ted wants to do too much and if he does it will ruin the
effect of the shot. I am trying to keep him down.

I am painting a lot and have a lot more confidence since I
was exposed to some wonderful contemporary impressionists
at the Cowboy Hall of Fame. I have done flowers and a chicken since I got home. It left me on fire to paint
something and Ted and I can do this together. I may switch
back to oils. They are messy but acrylic does not give me
the effect that I want. However it is so easy to clean up.

All in all, you handle things, dear Jeri. I'm sure they appreciate you. Rex sounds like a great dog. Give him a kiss from me.

Rex loves attention. Thank you for the kind words.

Trying to keep Ted down reminds me of when we would get the cats' teeth done. The vet would knock them out, and then he'd say 'keep they quiet as they come out of the anesthetic' - impossible to do - we had drunken cats staggering around and all we could do was try to follow them and encourage them to be still. We even tried having the whole family (2 people, 2 cats) lie down for a nap and it didn't work. You know cats can sleep all day when they want to, but not if they don't.

It is hard to keep Ted out of the yard. If Mike had not trimmed one of the
pecan trees, I am sure he would be on the ladder. My squash is flourishing
in the holes Rex dug. I just filled them with top soil and planted them.

We think Rex is very intelligent. He knows Treat, Outside and dinner. He
appreciated your hugs and kisses.

You are so very busy! We have a busy day today as well... It's hard when people are so far away from each other... and Best wishes for Bobby...

Thanks Kristilyn. I know you are trying to get your house organized. Moving
is pure hell. I trust the utilities are all straight. My SIL and I often
talk about the economy measures we would take if something happened to our
husbands and agree that the wireless internet would stay and satellite
tv would go.
