Yesterday on Turner Classic Movies, it was Elizabeth
Taylor day. First, I watched Raintree County but the
ultimate treat was Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. I just looked at
Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor and thought that they
were the two most gorgeous creatures that I had ever seen.
I couldn't remember if Burl Ives got an Oscar for best
supporting star but he certainly deserved it. He was
magnificent as Big Daddy. I went to one of his concerts
in the early fifties because I have always loved folk music.
He did the old ballads beautifully.
This is the start of our new routine with schools and things. Bobby's stepmother and I have it worked out well
I think. She has the hardest part because she is taking
Ashley to soccer games and practice. We are just doing the
best we can until Ellie gets home on the 20th. I worry
about Ashley because she is the baby and closest to her
mother. I really do not want Ellie to come home to mounds
of dirty clothes and a messy house but we will work that
out too.
Our air conditioners are both out and we need a repair
person instantly. It is way too hot for April and we haven't had a good rain since November.
