Rex woke me up, plastered against me and trembling because
we had a light thunderstorm. It was worth it because it
rained for almost an hour eliminating the watering session
today.

I got my invitations out to the family reunion today. It
will also be a family shower for Sara and Kevin Anne. Sara
is happy and enthusiatic and Kevin is more realistic. Kevin
has to be because the baby's father is not assuming any
responsibility and she is doing this alone. I am hoping
this will be the last two weeks of baking heat and that it
will begin to cool down.

Bobby's job is being eliminated. They are closing the criminal justice dept. and he isn't sad about it and will
use the time to finish his Master's degree. He only lacks
nine hours. I imagine Ellie is furious. She has become
used to a lavish life style or what seems like one to me.
They eat out most of the time. I will help out by cooking
and taking food over so they can eliminate that. Bobby has
been disturbed for a long time about his situation and it
is a relief to him to be out of it.

School is about to start. My duties will soon begin and
I am looking forward to seeing the girls every day.

I have a lot of errands and mercifully the rain has cooled
us down a bit.
