The to Do List

I probably couldn't live without one and this week finds me ready to dive in and get some things organized. I have made a start by shredding a ton of papers. My daughter calls this a death clean and says people in Sweden do it every year. I know she will be grateful when the time comes. I checked with my county election board and I was not in the system although I have voted in every election but the last primary one. I got new registration papers for myself and my sweet neighbor. I took her papers over to her inside an addressed stamped envelope and I will take her to the polls myself. I see very few people, other than neighbors that I walk with at night. Jose is getting very spoiled. I can at least visit with my daughter and my sister over the phone. Investment club is virtual. I miss my daughter and grand daughters a lot. We always got together every month or so. My great grandchildren are growing up without my seeing them. The youngest is walking. My nephews and my niece are not very well and I worry about them. Ted is getting used to a new anti depressant and it has already made a world of difference. He is actually interested in life again. If he would regain his appetite, I would be very pleased. Take care and pray, or do ju ju if you don't believe in prayer for those in the fire zones in California and Colorado. Remember our own Laura is very close to the fires in Colorado.

I did a death clean in my kitchen. There will be lots of room for my pots and pans now.

Ed criticizes my cooking too -- thinks the chicken "is raw", eats a certain meal for years and suddenly wants to know why. I say, "yeah, I understood, good help is hard to get."

I'll pray and do ju ju too. These seasonal wildfires are so scary, so destructive.

I hurt for the people in California and Colorado who are going through this terrible destruction and homelessness.

I have bags of docs going back to 1979. I rarely look back on them. Hopefully the survivors will just dump them in paper recycling.

I was shocked to find old checks...we haven't had checks returned in ages, and other material that should have been destroyed ages ago. It is done now and I am relieved.

I access my ju ju on your behalf. Good news that the new med is helping Ted. I have recently experienced some depression, an anomaly in my life. I am using a personal system of talking to my unconscious mind and it is helping. Yeah, I'm odd.

I wish Ted would take himself to task. Fortunately, he is getting better and if he would quit criticizing my cooking (it has not changed) and he once loved it, we would be happier. I think that is a symptom of the depression...every thing seems wrong.

Those fires are so scary. I hope she stays safe.
It is hard being so isolated all the time, I agree with you.
Are you using zoom? That might help a little.

Yes, my investment club is virtual and Ted watches virtual church services. I am sorry to say that I am an agnostic because it would be nice to have a faith to cling to even though I think it is nonsense. I
miss seeing everyone a lot. I used to have a good social life before Covid attacked us.
