Adrienne's middle school band took a trip to the zoo and she
came back with some wonderful video of the baby twin elephants. They were playing in a pool of water and their
mother and their aunt were watching them with great care and
interest.
It made me think of the way we are with Sara and the baby. He
is so tiny and fragile and he has aunts, grandmothers and
great grandmothers who can't take their eyes off him and love
the socks right off him.
Sara was here for supper last night, (Papa Ted always comes
up with gas money) and it pleases me to get a good meal down
her and watch Owen so she can eat. Owen is a fussy baby, being early he wasn't quite ready for the world. Last night
I discovered that when his knee is rubbed, he feels content
and comforted. Who knows what baby logic that is, but Sara
is armed with another trick to soothe him.
Just like a bunch of bloody elephants!
