A Good Day

I got up this morning and tried a new hair color, John Frieda's light blonde. It was a big success. Never mind,
mutton dressed as lamb. That is just my way. I can't seem
to reconcile my chronological age to the way I feel inside.

Bobby and I had a long talk about the chemo and the effect it
is having on his body. I wish there was some way to take
away the flu like symptoms. The aching bones are devastating.

We heard from our Texas cruise buddies. They are going to
celebrate their 36th anniversary in April. I wish we could
join them because we had so much fun with them on our cruise
to the Bahamas. They are cruise lovers too.

I made Bobby more chicken soup and a pound cake today and am
hoping that he can hold them down.

Ted and I went to Shake and Steak for a good and mybloggers lunch.
We love the fifties, sixties music. When I was a teenager, the big date was to go to the drive in and be treated to a
hamburger, fries, a malt and a coke. Then we would drag
main until time for the preview at midnight of Sunday's
movie. How innocent was that!!

I had to watch the dancing Golden Retriever again on Fredo's
blog. There is no way I could do that, much less train
Rex. I noticed his tale was wagging all the time. I think
it was a male despite the pinafore because they are prettier. The ugliest dog that I have seen is a G.R. and
a standard poodle mix. He parades past my house every night
and he is loved by his owner in spite of being misbegotton.

Every now and then I kick around the idea of coloring my hair. Not that I mind the gray salt and pepper, really. But my hair is so short that I'd have to re-color it frequently, and it just seems like a pain the in the neck and pocketbook. Then there is the issue of auto-immune fibro reactions, which hair dye can trigger, and then I just don't want to take the chance.

It has been years since I colored my hair but I was looking at the products last week. I don't even know what color I used to be. The growing out part is what stops me from starting the coloring again.

I love Steak and Shake and, like you, spent a lot of time in the 50s cruising around checking out the boys who were checking out the girls. Steakburger, fries, chocolate malt and I'm happy. Did you ever have their chili-three-way? Or their watery orange drink? Loved them all.

You've just reminded me that it's time for a Lady Clairol fix for me too . .my hair is extremely short, just got it trimmed on Monday & I'm tempted to let it grow out to see just how much white is under the ash blonde. I know I have a "shock" of white at my right temple & it looks kind of nice . . . haven't made up my mind. And, if you're vain Jeri - SO AM I !!!

My aunt had a white streak from her widows peak and it was so pretty. I am
abandoning the color I was using because I love the John Frieda color.

Did you hear that Costa cruises has another ship with problems? Generator went out, boat being blown by the wind through pirate-infested waters, no air conditioning in the passenger cabins so they're all out on deck.

Yes, I have heard that Carnival owns those Costa lines. Personally, I would
be scared to death to get on one with an Italian Captain.

I get that age thing... I'm seriously considering JFM on my beard again... My hair is still brown, my beard should be too! Enjoy the good days!

A goldendoodle is ugly? Seriously? I have only seen cute ones... Interesting.
I am glad you had a good day!!!

This golden doodle has ugly hair. He has a beard and his fur doesn't know
whether it should grow down or frizz up, so it does both!

A good day there. That is what we liked to hear.Yes,the drive in was so much fun along with the drive in movies. The lunch sounds good.It is not bad to have a mybloggers lunch now and then.
Hope Bobby side effect will calm down soon.I know that this is not an easy task there.
Take care.We are still snowing.

I am glad you all are getting the snow and not me. It was 75 here yesterday.
The wind calmed down and I was able to walk my mile late in the evening and
mow the back yard. I hate to alert the yard man just yet. He has probably
had a disappointing year because he sells wood in the winter. We have only
had our fireplace on one time all winter.
