We have absolutely not sat still for two days. Yesterday, Ted mowed and worked in the yard and I painted deck furniture and moved things around so we could put up our screened deck gazebo. The mosquitos are not going to get us this year! It is one of those tent kind and I hope that it lives up to its publicity. He has to put up a drip ledge and new fascia before we can put it up.
This has been the coldest April I can remember. I bought a few plants, cilantro, lavender and rosemary and a big fern today. The nursery said that they won't have the new Guinea
Impatiens until the last of next week because of the weather. It is going to freeze tonight and Sunday night so I had to go out and cover all my plants. I get a lot more show and reliability from the New Guinea Impatiens than from any other flower. I always have to have red geraniums too.
Rex and I had our walk this evening, even though I was so
tired that I could hardly make myself do it. It always pays to force yourself because you feel so good afterward.
We have had such rainstorms that there are puddles everywhere and walking in the meadow was treacherous. Rex loves the puddles and I am going to have to wash his feet before I let him in.
This is all the news from this little cornor of the world.
Bye for now...Jeri
