Gardening with Help[

Rex and Jose are my helpers, quite willing to assist me in
digging,(in all the wrong places) but even so I am getting
a lot done outside. I wear out in a couple of hours but
slow and steady is the way I have to go.

The back porch is looking great with some new cushions and
hydrangeas, impatiens and ferns. It is easy because the
shade plants are easier for me to grow. The front isn't
quite finished. I need one more hibiscus and one more
hanging planter. I planted gerbera daises in my hanging
baskets, some petunias and one hibiscus. All of them are
red this year

Adrienne is getting an award at O.U. today. I don't know what for because Ellie couldn't remember. I sent her
birthday present by her Mom because she wants a game. I
don't have a clue as to what to pick out. Money always
fits and my grand children refer to birthday money instead of birthday presents.

I planted parsley, cilantro and sage today, only to find
that my sage from last year is peeping through the leaves. I will need to find some rosemary. We love
rosemary chicken. This year I might get smart and pot
my herbs in the fall.

I am not planting anything. I threatened to cut down bougainveilla bush, however, that Ed thinks will die if you trim too much. Won't let me order it done. I'll need a ladder. If I do that, I'll be in bed for a week. And maybe he'll get a divorce. I'm still brooding about it.

I planted green peas already because the package said 'as early as the ground can be worked' - let's see if they really mean it. Our average last frost date is Memorial Day, if you can imagine.

I think we used to plant English Peas and onions in late February. I may b e sorry I have all of these plants out but I hope not. It is in the 80's.

Do you have photos of your plants? Do I have to use Facebook to see them? It sounds beautiful. Hydrangeas are a favorite of mine. Here, the weather continues to switch from winter to spring, and the wisteria and roses have slowly sprouted again after various freezes.

Unfortunately I am not tech savvy enough to post pictures. I love the shade plants the best. However, the hibiscus is lovely.

Sounds like you have more energy than I do. Hopefully, that will change when I get my knee injected on Monday--I can't wait. Oh the joy of old age. We used to look forward to the last day of school. Maybe you can find a way to get some pictures up. I uncovered my garlic today and they have sprouted. No horseradish yet and no leeks. That's how far behing you we are here.

Believe it or not, I have three little green cherry tomatoes. I planted it in a pot a little over a week ago. It is nice to get a head start on planting. My garlic is up and going.
