Decorating

I just had a burst of decorating fervor and painted the entry a creamy butterscotch. I mixed the color from baby duck yellow and white. The baby duck yellow was garish
but it toned down nicely. Yellow is one of my favorite
colors. It has spurred Ted on to do some of the chores
that he can still do, so it has all been good.

I want to find a prettier light fixture too. I have some
that I like but they hang too low. My brother in law,
David, will hang it for me. He and Jeremy have been
absolutely wonderful. Bobby keeps our computers
going but he is no handyman.

The grass is growing to beat the band. I am going to
mow it tonight after it gets cool. It can't wait on
Henry's next visit.

I have been getting off my duff and getting things cleaned and spruced up too.

One project seems to fuel another doesn't it? It gives me a big buzz to
see something accomplished.

I am impressed with your project enthusiasm. And as for mowing, sheesh. How is Jeremy these days?

Jeremy and Jennifer are expecting a new baby and it may have already
arrived. I need to call and see how they are. I haven't heard from them
in a while.

That new color sounds very perky and better than pink. I'll never get over my friend/somewhat family member (you know who) who painted her entryway ladyslipper pink and then tried to sell her townhouse - no takers. I think it was more due to other factors, but the pink paint didn't help.

I have Ted working on a folding screen now. I saw one I liked but we will
try to rehab this one first. He can sit down and do it. The paint motivated
us both.

Ed was so incensed when the building manager had our apartment hallways painted salmon pink that he wanted to move. For weeks, he wouldn't shut up about it. But, hey, we were in a l-a-r-g-e rent controlled apartment. Get real, I told him.
