What a Day!

I have cleaned house all day and still lack cleaning the fridge, which is a horrible job. I looked in there for walnuts and couldn't find them which is a sure sign of
needed cleaning, my most dreaded chore.

I picked up Adrienne and three of her friends and took them
to Dakota's house to make a music video for You Tube. I have
never seen her happier. Erica is Chinese and doesn't get to
go anyplace unchaperoned so I was very surprised that she
got to go, but then we know kids lie to their parents all the
time. I did and it hasn't changed. As soon as I get the
address, I will post it if it isn't just too silly.

May is winding down and there are lots of school things to
go to. Ellie has jury duty the last week of school. I am
going to her band banquet on Friday Night. and their concerts
are coming up.

Ted keeps putting things away and forgetting where he puts
them. So far, a phone, the extension cord to the lawnmower
and several other things that are making me crazy. He insists that he has never had them and it is me that puts
them up and then can't find them. I am telling you that it
is a zoo at my house.

Are they doing the song, "Happy"? That is the newest rage and none of them are too silly! It expresses a unity. Do post the video no matter how silly you think it is.
Take a deep breath because I suspect it will get worse with Ted. A lawnmower is big! How does one loose a lawnmower?

The parents panicked and ruined the video. Ellie kept texting Adrienne to
come home, a storm was coming and Dakota's parents got into an argument
and ruined it so they scrapped it to try again. We told them that they
could do it here. It was the long cord that goes to the electric mower
which I use sometimes in between the lawn service.

Once in awhile I'll put something somewhere and think 'I'll probably forget where I put this, I'd never look here for it.' And once in awhile I pay attention to that instinct and find a different place to put it, but who's to say I'll remember that one since it's a second choice.

Ted has notes to himself all over the house and he neglected to make one
for the phone. He may have tossed it, who knows?

It seems to be a universal fact that those afflicted with dementia never realize that it is they who have the issues. Makes me feel good in a sad way because I know when it's me and I can admit it. As for the fridge: If you have the jellied jiz under the crisper drawers, break out your trusty steam cleaner. What takes hours with cleaners and sponges is wiped away with a towel in seconds after a blast of steam!

I finally got it done before I read your post. I am making a vow to do it
once a week like I used to. Yes, the phone is bright red and he may have
tossed it now I have a new Sim card and no phone. Such is life!

Be gentle with Ted ... I been there. Once Jay took apart all the gerry wiring that was keeping the loft together. I had to learn how to put some of it back together to have light. He was, I think, "working" to make things better as he had always done, not realizing what was happening to him.

Hearing how happy you are dealing with family, makes me wonder if I should have had children. Then I think children are not for everyone. I was an outlyer.

This must be a phase of trying to help and making things worse because he
is always saying, "I am just trying to make things better for you." It is
sweet but I could sure do without the help. I am fortunate in my children
and grandchildren and they are fun to be with, loving and intelligent.
However, having one of them with terminal cancer is unbelievable pain. You
just may have made the better choice.

Sounds busy! I hope the video is postable, now I'm curious!
Frustrating about all the misplaced items ... Hang in there

I hope so, I am dying to see it. It is multicultural. I had to laugh as
they got in the car, Adrienne is half Russian, Erica is Chinese, One of
the boys is black and one Anglo. Erica is adorable, she has a hat fetish
and was wearing a panda hat. In fact they all are. This will be the last
year that I get to pick them up from school and I am really going to
miss them. Next year they will have driver's licenses.
