Cat Maps

We all love the furry warmth of having a cat to snuggle with.
However, we all know that outdoor cats live a life that we
can only imagine. I have always thought that cats were the
nearest to the wild of any of our domestic creatures.

Now the London Zoo is preparing an interactive cat map.
It will allow cat owners to upload scientific photographs and
locations which will allow for a city wide census of the
capitols felines.

Already the site is filling up with field notes and photographs. Can't you just imagine a field note that
says, China, pretty as a porcelain cat with lilac markings,
picky eater, one person cat only. Prone to nipping when she
is displeased.

I can't help but wonder how many cat lovers are in London.

We would love to get one of those cat trackers for our neighborhood cat Chitty in Las Vegas. They record where the cat goes, and then you remove it and plug it into the computer and it comes up with a map. Imagine how surprised Chitty's real owners would be to have her show up at home with a monitor collar on. We trimmed her front claws the other day, I wonder if they will notice.

The secret world of cats would be revealing. I always think of cats as
little tigers.

I can tell you, without fancy technology, where Angel goes. Couch to food bowl to couch to litter box to couch, repeat.

Ah, but if Angel was allowed to roam, who knows what she will be up to.

Sounds suspicious to me. The government will come eventually and take all the cats if it knows where they are!

I wish the Govt. would come and take all the guns.

I wish we could have a cat, but Ron says Tucker would eat it (or relentlessly torment it) so we aren't going to get a kitty anytime soon...

Rex learned to stay away from China but it was a hard lesson involving
a bloody nose.

My friend has an old pit bull, female, once abused, will chase any adult cat coming near the yard. But she was given a tiny kitten, and the pit bull took care of the kitten, licking it and protecting it. Sometimes a helpless creature will succeed where an older one would not.
