Home Again

We had a good time but not the best ever. It was to celebrate having been married 32 years, I keep thinking 33 but it is actually thirty two.

We missed Jose but he stayed with Ashley and Ellie and their two dogs, Penny and Mandy. He slept with Ashley and evidently had a great time. We missed him more than he missed us.

We were each sick one day of the cruise. The food was awful and Ted got sick from undercooked lobster. The humidity caused me to have an asthma attack and of course I didn't think I would need my inhaler so I left it at home.
We pretty much all had to live on hamburgers from the pool
deck. I will never cruise with carnival again although they did do some nice things for us. We were sent a fruit basket and got a few complimentary drinks and a picture.
The food was undercooked and just awful. It reached the pinnacle of portobello mushrooms fried in cornmeal batter. That is when we left the dining room permanently.

The cold, underdone baked potatoes were pretty inedible too.

Eiw! Food on cruises is supposed to be plentiful and edible. What a major bummer! Have you ever gone Disney? They spoil ya...

Your experience has definitely put me off taking a cruise. Sorry you didn't have a good time.

The ladies of 4C Camp for Adults proudly adorned belly dancing costumes so you should use the pool (even without a suit).

Thanks for the information regarding the under cooked food on Carnival. I'll make sure our chef cooks our filet mignon and rack of lamb to our preferred temperatures. Thirty two years..Congratulations...same as me and my bride...August of' 85 I ended my prowling days.

You understand the joy of cruising!

I've never been on a cruise and I guess I'll wait until I hear an enthusiastic report from a satisfied customer. You made the Greek salad? Great. So happy it turned out well. hugs. T

That sucks! The only really worthwhile activity on a cruise is to eat!

Yes, I love being on the water and it is my favorite vacation but the Carnival Breeze sucked big time in my opinion. T ed and I should have brought bathing suits and forgot our aging bodies and used the pool and hot tub. The entertainment was bad as well.

That reminds me of when I sent an entree of chicken back twice in an Asian restaurant... and it turned out the pink I kept seeing in the meat was not undercooking, but the pink lights in the restaurant ceiling. But potatoes?

The baked potatoes were cold and hard in the middle...ugh. Never mind all the good toppings they wanted to slather on. The sour cream and butter couldn't melt on a cold, hard potato. It got to the point that hardly anyone would eat in the dining room and the buffet was just as bad.

This trip cost far too much to have been such a bummer.

I'm so glad you've lived to tell the tale.
