If for no other reason, renewable energy progress makes Trump exactly the wrong person to be president right now.
My friend Mike told me about wind power in Germany, which just over the weekend was so productive that energy prices went negative for a short while. They were paying people to consume electricity.
And in Denmark and Norway, where winter winds are so strong that it frequently makes walking in the street difficult, they are able to export the extra energy they produce from wind farms to surrounding countries. Norway within recent decades found it had enough oil to make it competitive with OPEC countries. I guess they'll mostly use it to export to antiquated, dirty-energy-dependent countries like us.
I told Mike I want a windmill -- and later I want to sell that paint that turns any surface into a solar cell. Just waiting for it to be a finished product you can set up your home solar power with.
