Because I'm depressed everything irritates me, but this is ridiculous. I have started this post 3 times. First there's the fumes from leaf blowers all my neighbors use. Never a broom or rake, no, it has to be gas-powered leaf blowers to do everything. Then my next-door neighbor began working on his classic car. He leaves the garage door open and runs the engine for a good while. If I don't know he's doing this, the fumes will come straight in my open windows facing his house and make me sick.

...I just erased some of my excessive complaints about the gas tools they over-use here, and now I smell smoke of someone's outdoor fire. I think this street has a natural catch pocket that makes bad air not dissipate as it should.

And the lawn mowers are ever-running, alternating with the electric weed whackers. The obsessed guy next door mows at least every 5 days; during some parts of the season, it'll be every 3 days. I've counted.

My sinuses feel bad. Have to turn on a humidifier and cough for a while.

If anyone wonders why the ozone layer is being destroyed, it's because my neighbors are doing it. Antarctic ice sheets vanishing? My neighbors. Polar bears dead? My neighbors...

Must investigate possibility of my neighbors being responsible for global financial crisis, lower IQs of children, bee colony collapse, sunspots, and mutations of frogs.

I know that feeling - everything is irritating, and a lot of the time it's Mr. Troutbend - give him some celery, biscotti, or other crunchy food, and it sounds like he's chewing on rocks. So I'm sitting there kicking myself for feeding it to him in the first place.

I had to laugh when I read this but it really is not funny if it affects your breathing, I know because I have the same problem. The high humidity in Georgia just makes it worse too.

You are making me happy that we have no neighbors... Hope you feel better.

We have some "fire people" living down the road and this is the country, but Donna still complains about the smell of smoke. Neighbors.

As long as your first born son escapes the neighbor's curse you will be
fine.

Live in the middle of houses with lawns, but don't have your problem. Only occasional noise of lawnmowers, power washers. Sorry you are depressed. Assume you are on meds? Ed's on an anti-depressant -- it does help. Chin up.

And possibly, rain of toads.
