Odd Short Domain Names

I've been writing some articles for a domain-sales site, and researching how short names are used, I found some funny ones.

Pink.com is a girls/teens/young women's site.
Blue.com is not a boys' site, though. It's some spiritual thing with a weird, hard-to-understand-what-the-heck-it's-about text all over it.

Click on Hers.com, and you'll end up at His.com. Just figures, doesn't it.

TLC.com is owned by Disney. I thought that was nice.

Puzz.com is a puzzle site.
Puzl.com is sort of, too; you design your business site there. You put all the pieces together.

Buda.com is owned by a guy who does financial services all over Europe. Why the name? He's from Budapest, it turns out. And is possibly homesick.

Looks like Martin doesn't even have to pay a small fortune to buy the name.

And someone stole my GreatMartin.com

No, actually that name is open for registration now. All yours.

Makes me think of MyBloggers.com - 'a blog site for what looks like elderly people and cats.'

I like that description. Maybe we should have monthly cat blogging or post even more photos of cats. May as well live up to it.

I checked Blue out...it all sounds good, wonder what it's disciples would be like.

I am going to have to go to blue.com to see what it is all about.

I'm tempted to make fun of it, but seeing the founder's connection to the Mormon Church reminds me of the sweet ads the Mormons once ran on TV, urging people to be kind, especially to the angry or depressed.
