You could use a good comeback or reply for these moments of disrespect. For instance, if you complain of something and the other person doesn’t like it, take the wind out of their sails and agree with them. Tell them you will do something instead of just talking about it. (Because your complaint was valid.)
This is such a happy post, for a new year. Now I want of course to go to youtube to find the munchkinland mayor or whoever songs.
I think I've read of it, but didn't know how to say it. And I confused it with charabanc, that some people pronounced cherry-bounce and is completely unrelated. Tell us more words anytime.
Nice pictures, I like the way the bare trees fill up. The winter ended here early, apparently. I have this sense of not enough snow...
Wonderful pictures. That's a lucky squirrel.
It must be a temptation when there's old supplies probably ready to be tossed, but some of us (ack, me) are so resistant to letting anyone else handle the stuff. One of my sisters has the opposite problem, her husband tosses out stuff then doesn't remember doing it.
I had no idea catfish could sting, how awful! They must have parts on them that do that, it's not the whiskers (at least I think). Too bad, they are so good cooked. Happy March visits!
That reminds me of when I chopped fruit on a cutting board that I'd previously used to cut up garlic. Some tastes are just wrong.
Planning a trip sounds wonderful, and Hawaii would be so green — and warm. But I think the weather improves after March if you want lots of sun. What about 2 vacations?
Yes, who knows how summer will be. I'm glad to hear you're getting some precipitation. If only I could send our snow over there. We've run out of salt for the driveway and walks, now. Happens too many years in PA, usually barges of salt can't get up the river.
Now I need to go watch the On A Clear Day movie, since you've reminded me of Barbra's voice.
I was sorry to read about the behavior of US troops there & then. My BIL's father served during WW2 in Dawson, AU, I believe, not Brisbane, and got to ride a horse around and it was a time he loved to remember.
How funny that Ed made sure he drove you both home. And I imagine the connection with your daughter is a bright spot after the dark year we've spent.
Ouch, that picture is too telling. It's been a number of years since I fell on ice but it's insidious. You think it's okay to walk or step for a short way, and then suddenly your feet aren't under you anymore. I hope he didn't get hurt. Your river is so pretty all iced up, too.
Nice Doris Day video. For a moment I thought the bandleader was Theodore Bikel.
