Spring is Coming

But not tomorrow, and that's a good thing. Because all too soon we'll be fretting about another hot dry summer.

After several months of very dry winter weather, we've started getting some snow, a couple inches every few days. It's not going to make much of a dent in our drought, but every bit helps.

Mr. TroutBend's Las Vegas bowling leagues are rolling along. HIs average is 230, which is very good. A 200 game makes most men proud, and a decent mens' bowling average is 180.

Wow! Here in Oklahoma we got more snow and more cold than we've had in years. Someone said we've broken a 120 year record for cold. Busted pipes EVERYWHERE! Very few were prepared for what has happened.

I hope your drought recedes. That always feels like such a curse.

I was happy with my 160 back when body parts all worked together. Mr Troutbend would have been viewed as a bowling god.

Yes, who knows how summer will be. I'm glad to hear you're getting some precipitation. If only I could send our snow over there. We've run out of salt for the driveway and walks, now. Happens too many years in PA, usually barges of salt can't get up the river.

I don't remember the last time I bowled--I used to love playing!

In the past few days, over a foot of snow has fallen in my NW Ohio neck of the woods. Frosty cold, too: just 8°. EEEEEKS! I'm dreaming of crocuses....
