We are in the heat of summer.
There are two from the first litter of seven baby foxes left. They are nearly as big as the adults. One is very shy, the other one likes to lounge on the patio furniture when he thinks we're not looking.
The one white fox from the second litter of 5 disappeared 5 days ago. We hope he voluntarily moved to a new home range, but he was still quite young and I don't know how well he can hunt on his own. I have a feeling the mountain lion might have gotten him.
