Holidays

My sister's husband had actually never seen the entire movie It's a Wonderful Life beyond a few scenes of it, so that's what we sat and watched after dinner. He really got into it and was trying to get us to watch a Rudolph movie too, which is amazing since he generally scorns TV watching, whether it's videos or whatever.

I received kettlebells as a gift, and now I understand why people like them so much, because even if you hate to exercise, these are fun to swing around and yell, Wheee!
And I do hate to exercise. My next gift from that sister is likely to be something heartwarming like a membership to Weight Watchers. Perhaps I can fend that possibility off this year.

Ack, have to go pick up mail from town.

My Japanese friend from dancing days in New York saw It's a Wonderful Life for the first time a few years back. She said "It was wunnerful movie," a tear streaming down one cheek. It appears your b.i.l. just got into the Christmas spirit.

I have never seen a kettlebell but they do sound as though they would be
fun. I am an exercise loather from way back...I guess if I exert myself I
want it to accomplish something.

Woo hoo! and Whee! I had to google to see what a kettlebell is. The first thing that came to mind was kettle corn, and then I pictured something like those musical bells played at church and then steel drums from the Caribbean because those are sort of a kettle.
