Animal Shelters

I had to take screenshots of these, because just describing them doesn't have the same effect:

Shelter workers assign the names half the time, but I really hope they didn't choose these ones. Several times I've seen dogs named "Tazer" -- always pit bulls. Other names that seem to spell doom: "Chewy," "Chaos," "Godzilla."

The mastiff is so sweet looking. I know all about the big fellows.

at what you said about the names. That poor giant dog needing a home. I've seen young people, usually small in stature, adopt puppies that are going to end up weighing more than they do; I think they do it for the attention. So now, someone is expected to take not only this brute home (I'm sure it's a very nice dog) but another one (breed and size not mentioned).

If you can't lift him, or at least get him into a wagon to get him to a car, you shouldn't own him; that's my opinion. All these poor dogs get old and need someone who can handle them.

Wish I could adopt all the needy animals ... right now I am still mourning for my late cat, Chewy, and my Brunswick is not doing well. You're doing a good thing by posting these sites.

Petfinder is difficult to leave, once I take a look.
