Allergy Season.

Today consisted of little pink pills of benadryl. I've had to drug myself enough to anesthetize my eyes. Along with my sneezing, my eyes have been so itchy for the last few days that they begin to feel bruised, since I keep rubbing them. About 3 pills at once takes care of it for awhile.

It's been about 5 or 6 years that I've been getting this allergic reaction in the early spring, and I never bother going to the doctor to get a prescription for it. I suppose it's some tree blooming that's causing it, since it stops suddenly after a few weeks. If it were grasses, that could go on all summer.

A guy just showed up today to mow my dandelions and violets. I mean my lawn. I kind of miss the violets now.

Well, back to the benadryl.

I'd forgotten about allergies, and now that you remind me, you have my sympathy because that is so miserable when your eyes are all weepy and scratchy. When the pine pollen starts coming out here, I'll develop a bad sore throat that won't go away for months, and then one day I'll realize it's gone.

You can make a great salad out of the dandelions: https://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Dandelion-Salad/

Tears for dry eyes, otc, will help ease your symptoms.
