The Storms Have Finally Passed.

Our news headlines today are filled with images and reports about the damage in the wake of yesterday's storms. They raged all week and were bad enough already, but yesterday was the worst. I suffered from four brief power outages and have tree branches all over my lawn, and that does not even count as damage! In some places the winds were clocked at 95 mph and tornadoes were spotted over a three county area. What a storm! Roofs ripped off, trees toppled, mobile homes picked up and moved 30 feet. My dog, Erin, was shivering and shaking and spent nearly the entire day under my desk or under my futon. What a wuss!

Now that the storms have passed I need to drive to north Tampa to pick up some art. Catch ya'll later!

Our storms were just awful, and I hear the storms in Tennessee were worse. What a spring!

Glad you are ok and your house as well! Glad your pup had you to help her through her fear!!!

My two dogs are so different. Usually dominant Erin shivers and shakes, and my passive Megan couldn't care less about a storm outside.

I'm with Erin! I duck under cover when storms pass through.

I cannot resist this since I know you are off and unable to reply- I am more fun under the sheets than Erin!

The pictures on the news were really frightening. Glad you are ok.

The winds were frightening to hear. I am surprised I had only a few twigs in my yard.

The storm was featured on NBC Nightly News. Yoweee! So glad you're okay.

Yes, these storms were record-breaking for this time of year.

I'm glad you didn't have major damage at your house , Dottie. When there is a lot in the area sometimes it's really hard to get your repairs done.

I consider myself most fortunate.

That sounds so scary! I am glad it is over.
We got more snow last night. Fortunately, it seems to have only produced about a 1/2 inch, which was better than the 1-3 or 3-5 inch prediction.

Hopefully, the worst of your winter/spring storms are past.
