The rains started two nights ago. We have had rain, thunder, lightning and high winds for two straight days and it is expected to continue at least through tomorrow. Some of the damage has been as severe as in hurricane season though much more spotty. A tree here, a roof there as opposed to vast swaths of damage. (I hope I put up two sep. images- not the same one twice!) I have stayed inside and spent the day cooking and cleaning up the kitchen.

There was a story in the news about a woman who walked into her back yard and fell into a sinkhole. She had her cell phone in her pocket and was able to call for help. Now, that is bizarre!

I will admit to feeling disappointed. My sister has not had the time to come back. Oh well! She has a family. I do not.

My chalkwalk art was published in a USCG Auxiliary national publication. I must admit that I am tickled pink! By the way, our Awards Banquet went very well. So glad that is over!
