Ouch!

About a week ago I was rear ended. Even tough it felt like a huge wallop that actually pushed the car forward about a foot, the damage to my bumper was minimal (almost not visible. I told the driver not worry about it. In retrospect, maybe I should not have been so forgiving. My back is killing me! I can't even run a vacuum without hurting. Oh well, chit happens. This too shall pass. Even though I may hurt for a while, I am happy not to contribute to the mounting number of personal injury claims.

I think you need to see a doctor. Please don't make assumptions about your health. Pain like you describe needs attention, Dottie. And don't think your health care is free just because the VA provides it, as it should. But the VA is entitled to be reimbursed if you need care. This lady is at fault and should be responsible.

It is improving. Too late- I did not get her info.

Not that this any joking matter, but we can all use a little "bumping forward" in our lives. Hope your back pain goes away soon.

Me too. Even walking hurts after a few minutes. Hope this goes away REAL soon!

Life has a way of adding insult to injury. I am so sorry that you are
hurting and we all care for you.

I have so much to do and it has to wait... sigh. This too shall pass.

There might be internal damage to the bumper besides your back, but I would have done the same as you because sometimes life is already too complicated to get into some other new thing. Take care, dear Dottie, we're all thinking about you and sending good wishes.

Hm... I dare not look under the bumper, but maybe I will get my girlfriend's son to look under there. Unless it was something really obvious, I would not know if anything was 'broke'.

well not sure if this was the right thing there to do.At least you could have checked out this with your doctor?

Next time I go to the VA- but it is just soft tissue stuff, I am sure.

Sending healing wishes! Hope you got the driver's information in case you have medical expenses, Dottie. The least he/she can do is pay for your visit to the doctor. Real injuries are never frivolous. Take care of yourself.

I never have medical expenses. I get my treatment through the VA so I did not bother. I felt really badly for her. She was so upset that she was nearly in tears.
