Two Wolves

Lamentations

Oh, the Joy!
I am entering a juried show tomorrow and got three paintings ready to enter in the show, only to learn I can only submit two entries. These are the three I got ready, and now Shelly and I are at odds about which two to enter. I think all three are pretty good (which is why I chose these three). I won't tell you my first or second choices, but I would like to hear yours. See how many people reply to this before tomorrow A.M., but...

Let us know which two you chose. I got here too late to vote. My personal preferences were the first two. I think they were better as far as the art goes than the last one. As far as subject matter, I like the last one. Everyone does wolves and I get so tired of looking at them. Just my opinion.

Number three received the largest number of votes and I did enter that one. It was accepted into the show, but I don't think it won anything and won't know for sure until the 6th. Just to have a piece accepted into this show is a first for me. I saw the work submitted by other artists. Wow! There are some truly incredible artisists in this area. I knew the competition was going to be tough.

I really like "Lamentations" because of the raw emotion that is expressed. You have captured the feelings of pain, utter despair, and emptiness in this woman (yourself)?. I love the mother and baby on the beach. This is reminiscent of one of those golden moments in life to look back upon and relive. Art that produces feelings, emotion. That is good art.

My first choice would be the Woman on the Beach. The joy of being at the ocean and sharing time with her child is obvious.

Ok Dottie, it's an honor to put in my 2 cents worth!!!
"Lamentation" has been a favorite of mine since you shared it!!

Just because I would of loved to raise my 2 daughters on the ocean somewhere, that is my second choice, only if I had to CHOOSE mind you!!!

I hate to look like a copycat, but my choices are also the first and third. And if I had to choose one it would be the wolves.

The last one,Woman on the Beach with her child is my choice.
The other two do not care about,but if you have to make
two choices,then my other one will be the first.
Two Wolves.Oh!the Joy.Lamentation.Too scary for me and do feel
uncomfortable with this,the tragedy which i do not need.
But that is up to you.
