Hash Tags????

I listen to those stupid commercial where they use the words "Hash tags" as if they were common parts of speech, and now I see hash tags throughout our posts???? Whoa! I don't use hash tags and I know most of you don't either. I'd be surprised if half of you even knew what they were! I had to look up the definition after hearing the words in commercials. Hash tags? What were they talking about? Here instead of the # symbol, it is the underlined words indicating hyperlinks.
I guess that is the new MyBloggers!

There is a whole new language punctuated by those hash tag links, and it grates on my nerves. Like you, I don't know how they work exactly, and I don't plan to spend time learning. With the state of emergency around here, I have had to look at more Twitter posts by police and towns because that's how they communicate the status of roads and other news. One of the most irritating things is that amongst the vital information are all kinds of inane marketing messages (Visit Beautiful Estes Park! - nobody's telling the tourists that 40% of the town can't flush their toilets) because Twitter is used so heavily to promote businesses.

It happens! Happened to me a few times and always makes me wonder what I did!

blood cell phone or as we call them mobile phones are worse than the hash signs.

Ok, now I must admit to ignorance? What is "blood cell phone"? Cell phones are known to raise BP, but I don't know if that is what you mean?

I still call it a 'pound sign.' I had Twitter for a year (so did Hobbes) and quit. It is far to time-consuming and invasive. I don't ever walk down the street looking at a cellphone and I don't use it in public. Bad manners.

You and me both. I also don't answer my phone every time it rings let alone become slave to my cell phone!
