The Final Debate

So glad the debates are over! The hate mongers are doing their worst to make sure that Obama is not reelected. I am sick to death of hate mail that attack everything about him from his birth to his college and earlier years as a politician... and all of that before we get to the attacks on his record as president. Oh, how the Republicans hate that the economy is improving. Every time they say, "yes but"... they follow it with another attack.

I will be so glad once this is over. By the way- did anyone see the debate pictured above? I think I missed that one.

I will do my duty and hopefully we can get rid of James Langford, a teap
party candidate that deserves to bite the dust. I hear that white males
are Obama's biggest foes. I am just doing my best to not get discouraged.

I saw two women from Oklahoma on Judge Judy last night in a case of road rage. They were hilarious and I thought about you. It must drive you wild to contend with some of the mentality around you.

Not a fan of either candidate, but Nancy, the economy is not getting better here in Florida. Lots of people out of work. I have students whose parents have given up looking. We're in a bad way. Personally I'm not sure there is any President that could help at this point. It's just going to take time. That's all we can do. Whoever wins, it will take time.

Considering the world economy- and how interdependent our economies are- we have no reasonable expectation to not suffer any effects of the global recession and are actually doing better than most. We are after all, largely responsible for this global economic crisis which started with U.S. backed securities falling, sub-prime loans and over-inflated assets like speculative real estate. (As world leaders, we must accept when we stumble as well as when we succeed.)

In politics, there appear to be no laws about verbally attacking one's opponent and no requirement for these assaults to be grounded in honesty.
