That's a great way to handle a power outage. The power has gotten more stable here over the years. It use to go out weekly (or at least it seemed that way), and now it's pretty rare, even during the bad storms.
Good to hear you are doing well! I've been good - working about 22 hours/week at the Library, still running, kids are getting older and are much easier to deal with and I can even leave them home alone for short periods (hooray!) My garden was Amazing this year. Entered a bunch of vegetables in the country fair and most everything won something. 1st place corn! Won $120 in money & gift cards which I'll spend on seeds for next year.
