Apparently I'm lazy this year because I've mailed a grand total of ONE christmas card this year. Okay, two if you count the card that DD sent to her best friend...
And one lucky mybloggers blogger will receive my one christmas card. DD helped me with it. She drew the cats on the card, not me. And when I reminded her that the card is for the person we visited on vacation and gave her ice cream, she got busy and decorated the back of the envelope. I didn't help her with spelling, she did it all herself - the part that is difficult to read says "thank you" (for the ice cream I assume!). She REALLY likes ice cream, and I don't buy it often. :)
So no christmas cards, but I have been doing some baking. I made gingerbread cookies (then got upset and stressed and ate them all, oops!), brown sugar & sour cream fudge, mexican thumbprint cookies, gingerbread houses (one for each kid), gingerbread men, trees & stars, eggnog sugar cookie stars & trees, chocolate candycane fudge and candycane rice crispie squares (twice, DS wanted to take them to school to share). I'm feeling fat now.
If you ever watch the show The Biggest Loser, you have seen the last chance workout. Well, I'm having a last chance workout WEEK. I'm exercising everyday this week because the kids are off for two weeks of holidays next week and I'm not sure how much exercise I'll be able to fit in.
Sunday: 1 hour of ice skating
Monday: 19 minutes running on tractor tracks in a snowy field + 60 min yoga/pilates class
Tues: 90 min step aerobic & weights class + 20 min treadmill run
Wed: 20 min "level 1" workout from Jillian Michaels (Biggest Loser trainer) 30 Day Shred DVD
Thurs: 90 double step aerobic + weights class + 10 min treadmill run plus 3 intervals of 1 min fast runs (on #8 - 7.5 min miles)
Fri (tomorrow): 60 min yoga/pilates class + ?? It's cold out so I'm thinking level 2 of the Jillian Michaels DVD before the class, then cross country ski for an hour afterwards....
Tomorrow is the christmas party for work. It's just a pot luck and play Wii games and whatever but it might be fun. I'm bringing bacon cheddar quiche since I get free range eggs from my neighbour next door. A real steal at $3/doz. They just got a huge greenhouse, 12'x24', and I mentioned that maybe she could save me a little corner for my tomatoes... :)
