There was a sale on photo printing at Shopper's Drug Mart, so I took advantage of it today and ordered 28 prints.
Back when I first got a camera, it cost me about $18-22 to get a roll developed with double prints. And then there was the cost of film. Reprints cost about 80c, but sometimes I could get them cheaper on sale or at a different store.
A few years later, I could get film developed for around $6. I'm sure it went even lower at one point, but then I switched to a digital camera, and never looked back...
The photo printing price on sale is 10c! What a difference from the earlier 80c. I don't know how companies can do it for so cheap? They must pay employees minimum wage. My 28 print order costs $2.80 - I uploaded the photos online, cropped them as needed, and they will be delivered to my local Shopper's Drug Mart (which only has the prints-in-minutes machines which are of poor quality). I can't see how they make much of a profit off that.
Not complaining though!
