Every time I see Kenny I always leave smiling.



Kenny works at the local grocery store, bagging and helping folks take the bags to the car.



He's special. He probably has a lower than average IQ, but given any task, no one ever works harder than he does. Did I mention he also walks with a limp?



Slow speech, smile on his face, he interacts with the cashiers that are younger than he is ....with respect.

Folks that know me know it's time for me to make this summertime favorite. Drink up y'all.










Ingredients


1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 small lemons)
2 cups water
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries, thawed
1/2 cup sugar
Garnish: lemon slices







Preparation

Process first 4 ingredients in a blender until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides. Pour through a wire-mesh strainer into a pitcher, discarding solids. Serve over ice, and garnish, if desired.
