I grew up in the same kind of home. My adoptive father had a derogatory slang word for every ethnic group that wasn't like him. He hated them all with a passion. You and I are very fortunate to have come out differently in spite of that influence.

Now that's a relaxed cat!

Oh, does that sound good! How does your cousin stand the heat long enough to pick all that produce?

We had horrible weather Friday. A large Blue Spruce tree fell on someone's car as she was driving on the road that leads to my street. Lucky for her, she wasn't hurt but the pictures were frightening - it crushed the roof and the windshield and entire right front. The tree was over 100 years old. A couple of others fell near that one and took out power and new construction. Straight line winds? Meanwhile, a tornado touched down about 50 miles away in the same storm.

So glad he's okay, Jon. Just keep lovin' him up and he'll be feeling better soon. I'm sending you an email right now.

I'm so relieved that everthing went so well. Maxie sends him a big hug. You're right about Care Credit - I've used it for vet bills and dentist bills. No interest if it's paid off in a year - I like that!

Has the weather in the whole country gone crazy? We are under severe thunderstorm warnings for the second day in a row and now they've added a tornado watch. It helped cool things off but I'd like to be outside weeding and stuff. I hope the tornadoes pass you by.

It's good stay on top of health issues but sheesh! I can remember an incident when my mother was in nursing school. Her sister was trying to help her unload the dishwasher and my mother got very upset when she was putting something away. She didn't want her to put it in the cupboard because it wasn't sterile! My aunt had to clench her jaw to keep from laughing at her.

Good for you! I love the volunteer work I do for and with dogs but it's not very social except at the nursing home. It would be nice to be a bit more social, but I've never known how to join those service organizations.

Oh, Jondude, I'm so sorry. I am praying for you and Bunji. I know he knows how much you love him.

I don't think anyone can beat Janis Joplin's version of "Summertime."

I sort of remember that song with the words "my feets are too big" but I can't remember the rest. It'll probably come to me at 3 a.m. some day. I'll let you know if I can dig it up. If you want help with the strawberries, just say the word! I can't guarantee that I won't eat more than I put in the bowl though...

I saw the news about Bo on iTunes this morning when looking for their freebies. R.I.P Bo.
