Putting up brick in a bathroom does sounds strange. I think the white paint brightens it up a lot. One thing though, keep your paint away from the brick in my kitchen! It's beautiful and really, it's the back of the fireplace and encloses the wall oven and a weird little open area underneath the oven. We've had a couple of those 78 degree days here, too!
Yum! That sounds like a wonderful dinner.
Now really, could your mom have stopped you from riding your Vespa? I don't know that mine could have stopped me. Oh, wait. I was in college before I wanted one. Never mind!
I think you are expected to look when they dress like that. I think that's the point of dressing that way...
Maxie caught a mouse the other night. I didn't know anything about it until I saw it run under the couch. He got it out but must have lost interest or something because he came sauntering out from behind the couch. I got up and there was Bella was grinning at me, with it in her mouth. I grabbed it by the tail and tossed it onto the front stoop. It was gone when I checked later.
I'm jealous that you had a Vespa! I so wanted one.
"r(unning), screaming and clapping last evening. You can't do that in the city without arousing suspicions of insanity." Oops! Maybe that's why the neighbors used to look at me so oddly at my other house. I had a garden there but don't have enough sun for one here. Yum, fresh picked salad! Sounds wonderful. I did discover that I have chives coming up. I don't remember planting them so they must be volunteers from a bird or something. If you need any help picking those strawberries...
Pay no attention to the liquid oozing out of your computer. I'm drooling over your El Camino! I've always wanted one. As to the showing, I always thought the ones who look for entertainment go through on open houses. Too bad you got all cleaned up and stuff and then they weren't even serious! Glad you have something to look forward to.
How sad that she has to worry about the expense at a time like this. What a tragedy. A local funeral home may be willing to lower it's price or have a special fund available to help out in these situations. If she can get an article in a local newspaper, and have someone set up a fund in a bank for donations, she might get a lot of help that way. It worked for a family whose kids attended my school.
Like MzScarlett, I'm Charlie Brown by one point. However, I really think I'm more like Garfield.
Happy, Happy Birthday Buggs! What a treat to get a ride in the Elvismobile. That's just awesome.
Wow, sounds like you're making good progress! Good for you for getting out and going to church.
No one should scowl or be angry with you if they knew how much you do for your mother. She must have been a wonderful mother when you were growing up! I'd say you are very lucky to have her.
Good luck with Ed's quitting, Teal. I didn't get enough help from the patch so I switched to the gum. It gave me something to do with my mouth besides yell at my ex. And the best part is that it worked and I had no rough patches while quitting after the first week or so. It's been nearly 6 years so I know it's for good this time. A little valium or xanax wouldn't hurt either. For either one of you or maybe both, LOL.
Can't wait to see a picture of the sweater, Laura. I don't knit at all, but I have done some crochet. You do live in a cool place. This is probably a dumb question, but I don't recognize the critters in the bottom picture. What are they?
