After years of making knitted dishcloths and stocking caps I made the big step to starting a sweater.
My inspiration was my recent to my cousin in Gettysburg, PA where we went to a fabulous yarn and weaving store called The Mannings. I found a reasonably-priced 100% Peruvian Highland Merino Wool yarn there and it gave me the courage to embark on a sweater.
There is something very intimidating about paying over $100 for yarn when a person doesn't know if they will be able to forge through the project to completion, but under $100 is okay.

So I have been knitting like crazy ever since I got home, almost as though to prove to myself that I can do it, and if I stop for too long I might not pick it up and continue. Of course, all I have done so far is the back of the garment, which is just knitting a flat rectangle, no increasing or counting to speak of, but the faster I get that part done, the sooner I move to the challenges and see if I can keep going.

Anyhow, I'll try to get around to your posts soon and get back into the spirit of blogging.
have classes. I realize you are out in the woods, but when
you are back in Vegas maybe, if it takes that long to solve
things.
