Bunjii Update ...

The surgery to remove the tumor from Bunjii's right side went off yesterday monring. I called the vet's office as advised soon as it was 1:00 pm. They said he was in Recovery and asleep. The tumor was about the size of a plum and was sent off to a lab.

I am to call again this morning after 10 and get a time to go pay the fare and bring him home.

I managed to sign-up for $500 worth of credit with www.CareCredit.com. If you have a medical or vet emergency and need a way to finance it, check them out! I got approved in two nanoseconds and my credit has been awful since the prolonged divorce.

I will put the cat in my guest room upstairs. It has two opposing windows so there is flow-through air. I cleaned a litter box and put it in the room with a water bowl and food bowls. I also put one of th little beds in there, but I'm sure he will claim the big bed.

He will have a neck cone, of course. I have to keep him away from the other cats. Doobie picks on him - constantly, and Bunjii is like the lion in the Wizard of Oz. He needs courage.

Rosie is his sister, so I will allow visits from her. I am sure he will appreciate it. The healing will be painful and take some time. They had to separate an important muscle to remove all the tumor mass. He won't be able to stretch his right foreleg for a while.

I'll keep you up to date. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

I'm so relieved that everthing went so well. Maxie sends him a big hug. You're right about Care Credit - I've used it for vet bills and dentist bills. No interest if it's paid off in a year - I like that!

I am so glad he came through the surgery ok. Just give him lots of TLC; he will need it. I have CareCredit and use it for all my medical bills but I did not know they covered vet bills also. That's great. Take care of the baby.
