Winter Sunshine: Eloise

Someone sent me this pillow. It is supposed to be a fox, but I think it looks more like a Corgi. It is large, about 18 inches long.

These animals came from a casino giveaway. I don't like their eyes with the heavy lids - looks too much like old folks who need an eye job. I peeled the eyelids back on the one on the right, and now it looks like it smoked some meth and hasn't slept in 48 hours. I like my stuffed animals with little beady eyes.

She loved sleeping on that cat condo in the sun, and then all of a sudden she abandoned it and couldn't be cajoled into returning. Cats can be very fickle.

She really is pretty with the symmetrical face. The neighborhood cat hasn't been around as much lately, so we are hoping its family has been taking better care of it.

Eloise is ditzy, so if we can catch her when there is company, she lets them pet her. But she doesn't come up to visitors. She barely comes up to Mr. Tbend. She is definitely an inside cat, and would love to get out. We might try putting the harness on her with a rope so we can keep some control over her and let her spend some time with us outdoors when it warms up. We need to get her trained to where if she accidentally escapes from the house, she will stay around.

Eloise has been having so much fun galloping around the house, and then she zonks out for hours. You know how cats will have their favorite thing to do for awhile, and then they change to something else.

Such a pretty cat and I love her name. Is she a Maine Coon? The stuff fox does look a little bit "Corgi"...still cute though. Have a happy New Year!

We think she is a Siberian Mountain Cat, but I'm sure that's just wishful thinking. You should see her when she escapes to the great outdoors at our mountain house - she thinks she is in her element and should be allowed out all the time (she would get eaten by something).
