Thanks for clarifying the name. What a beautiful sight.

It's a sad story, but then how could it not be with dead and horse in the same sentence? Horse Feeling Poorly But Got Better Point would be the alternative, I guess.

Was there last April.

This is one that needs to be framed. I worry about the wild horses and wish
more people would adopt them. They are training them as border patrol horses
at some of the prisons. It is certainly good for the prisoners to have an
animal to train and I hear it is working out well on the border.

Since there are so many wild horses here in Nevada, there are a lot of roundups, and a lot of controversy about the BLM abusing the horses.

My mother grew up in that general area, but her views weren't as picturesque.

awesome!

Yes, in this case I think the word 'awesome' applies. It shouldn't be applied to hot dogs, onion rings, or cell phone apps.

Stunning enough to make one stand there and stare for hours.

I would love to see it during and after a snow storm, and the rising of the full moon, and the Aurora Borealis (rare, but possible at that latitude).

I LOVE the names people come up with for places, people and things!!!

This name is because there is a formation in there that makes a natural corral with one end fenced off. The cowboys/Indians would trap wild horses in there and then move them, but after the corral was abandoned, some of the horses stayed in there and died (or someone left the gate shut and didn't come back).
