The Techie Wars
Ce, our computer tech, came over last night to help us with our streaming on Direct TV because a movie would load for 15 minutes, play for two or three, and go back to loading. We now have questions to ask our provider.
Meanwhile, our router system was all messed up -- it has to be THIS, not THAT Ce said. Don’t ask. Ed is convinced Sol used his computer and changed everything around, unplugging things and setting things up differently. I wouldn’t know. Ce got on to my computer said I needed a thousand updates, said it was full of spurious add ons to a download, said I shouldn’t access “Honey†a coupon outfit that pops up when I am buying something and says it will search for coupons and give me discounts, which it has been doing. But Ce said it was full of malware and I shouldn’t use it.
Ed’s hard drive was in deep doo doo, so Ce will replace it and she took the tower with her when she left and he won’t get it back till Friday. I anticipate he’ll be using mine when he needs to. It’s much older but I foomf along with it.
I offered her dinner but she had to get home to her dogs. Also, we were having boiled chicken legs which Ed likes and she thought that sounded weird. It’s a European thing, I said.
Meanwhile, my cats had to be deflead and fleas got into the bed and I had to wash all the bedding on the sanitize setting. I set out a flea trap with a light and a siren song (well, not the song), and they bit me on the ankles so I am now sleeping with double socks plus sleep tights also covering the ankles because I learned they can bite right through the weave on one sock. They don’t bite Ed for some reason. He sleeps with bare legs and they bite JUST ME. @#&%$. The system works rather well. However, if I decide to lie down during the day, I have to pull on double socks before I do it.
And the other day I wore my tights to go to the market and no-seeums bit right through them. The insect God hates me.
The latest on my iPhone adventures is listening to music. Siri offers music but never heard of the Beethoven Appassionata, which Siri translated as Pussy-a-not-a. Stupid Siri. Yeah, Siri, I mean you.
