A buyer bought a painting at a Sotheby auction for $1.4 million dollars by an anonymous artist called Banksy, known for his provocative style. Within minutes after the sale, the painting shredded itself! It was called “Girl With Balloon”, and the canvas slid through a shredder embedded in the frame, emerging out the bottom in strips as the final hammer signaled an end to the evening.

Bansky posted an image of the scene from the auction house on his Instagram account with the caption, “Going, going, gone …”

No, I don’t think he is audacious and charmingly cute. I think he’s a criminal. Somehow he should be found and imprisoned for fraud.
