My sleep pattern is weird these days, I rarely get to sleep before 2 a.m. My last move of the night is to put in eye drops for dry eye. I was more tired than usual, Ed already asleep. I sat down at my desk (yes, it’s in the bedroom and doubles as a night stand), and applied the tear drops and SCREAMED. I had accidentally doused my eyes with essential peppermint oil. I ran to the basin in the dressing room and ran cool water on my face, trying to keep my eyes open – ½ an hour later, the burning lessened. I applied saline tears and went to bed with a face still stinging. I looked awful this morning, have been applying tears every hour all day and my eyes are okay. Tip: Pay attention. xx, Teal
