Note to self: Don't eat cake before bedtime--it might keep you awake. That's why I'm up here at 5:15am on the computer. Now I want to tell y'all about a product I think uses deceptive advertising. I've seen these ads in print, heard them on the radio, and seen the promo's on TV. It's for Proactive, a skin care product. So, after hearing the ads for "Free Trial Offer" and free this and that included in the offer, I bit and called the number.
So the telemarketer says "Besides the free skin care product you also get a free facial mask product , etc." So I say okay, and the guy says that'll be $29.95 plus shipping and handling. Well, sugar, that ain't free. He says Well do you expect the company to give their product away? If you don't like it, you can return it. That's what "Free Trial Offer " means.
Well, no, when you say free, I expect to get a sample free. So I said forget it. So that's what I learned--I learned that "Free Trial Offer" means if you don't like something you have to pack it all back up and pay shipping and handling to get the d*mn stuff back to them and hope you'll get your money back.
