
I parked under the freeway and walked up the hill to the trail access.

The fog was coming over the hills to the south.

To the north it looked about the same.

At the waterline there were two deer. Those two dark spots in the lower middle of this picture.

Some areas of the path are shaded some part of the day.

One area has a closed canopy. This is my favorite area. It's cooler, but the dappled pavement can look confusing when going fast on a bike.

Most of the trail is out in the open though. It's on the edge of the lake, which is a valley, so there are hills all around it. The valley is part of the San Andreas fault.
