Thieves 20090110

Kitty has a "pencil box" at school. One type of thing she has in there are animal, multi-part erasers. They have been disappearing or she sees them in the hands of other kids in her class. The others deny that they are hers, but they look the same. Hmmm. Other items have disappeared from her backpack too.

She and Dolly have been discussing this. I don't see the need for much discussion. Get a little lock for the pencil box and the backpack and be done with it.

It always such a hard thing to deal with for kids.

Oh gosh, I remember the days when things would go missing... meanwhile other kids' pencil cases would be bulging at the seams. I like your idea of the lock.

They are running out of space.

Even the tiny erasers could probably be marked with a fine point sharpie. I hope the teacher talk goes well.

I also did it so that my sister and I could keep our things separate, although I don't suppose you and Dolly are constantly mixing your erasers up with Kitty's.

How small are they? I used to mark my things with a simple, pink nail polish swipe. Easily identifying but not too big for small pencil case type things.

That is sad.

That is so sad. I have to agree with imaginaryfriend. The teacher needs to know this is going on.

Oh!well this does not surprised me at all.
she will need to be more careful in protecting her things.
You will always have thieves out there.
In this hard time, people are stealing.

Also mention it to the teacher, and mark everything that belongs to her. I've had money and bus passes stolen from me when our class was made to leave the classroom, and leave our belongings behind.
