With the Autumnal Equinox just around the corner, this was the last weekend of the summer. And a dandy one it was.
First, I spent Friday PM picking 20 gallons of green beans for my daughter and SIL's truck farm. Whew! Hope they sold them all.
Then I cut my final two loads of firewood on Saturday. I was trying to beat the forecasted rain, which never materialized.
Sunday, I cleaned the Lions Club ice cream machine and trailer (takes 1.5 hrs). Then made a fruit crisp dessert using fresh rhubarb, apples, and strawberries. Yum with soft serve ice cream! Then I ran 5 miles. All this before noon.
Washed and vacuumed my pickup after lunch and nap. Did some garden work and split/stacked firewood before finally sitting down in front of the TV to watch some football.
I also watched the Emmy's, but wasn't that interested since I don't watch reality or drama shows, nor movies. I had a book in hand most of the time.
All in all, just a routine, but productive, weekend. We still need rain!
