Of course, the grocery stores had a run on bread and milk. It was a mad house. You would have thought it was going to be the blizzard of the century.
Well, it's all over. It snowed gently for about 6 hours. I'd guestimate about 5 inches tops--more like 3-4. Big whoop.
So I'm watching the noon news/weather, and they say another 2-3". This is while the radar shows the end is upon us. In 15 minutes, the sun comes out. It's all over but the wind blowing snow around. So much for the big whopper.
The panic these "cry wolfers" cause drive me crazy. You'd think the public would learn to ignore their frequent "the sky is falling" predictions. But we love the anticipation of impending disaster and hardships. It must be in our genes.
