What a week, and it's only just begun.
Good news is, daughter # 3 (age 31) had her first baby yesterday--an 8 lb 10 oz boy named Jensen, after my daughter's mother (maiden name). I can't complain. My nephew named their son after his mother's maiden name (Smith!). I guess it's becoming a family tradition. I know all my four children were named after somebody--usually middle names, however.
Once my Virginia sister heard the news, she decided to drive to Indiana to see the baby (and our father's "new" house). She's coming in today. We'll all go this afternoon.
So that's all good.
Now the bad: My house was again broken into--at least entered--yesterday while I was playing golf. They (he) took about $100, a digital camera I had just set out to take baby pics, plus my extra set of truck and house keys. Luckily, I had my billfold with credit cards with me. Now I have to change door locks and hope they don't steal my truck.
I can't win. When I was burglarized the last time, two years ago, they broke the door to enter. I didn't lock up just for being gone for 3 hours this time. Ironically, the first time, they didn't find my money. This time, they went right to it. Looks suspicious, like they knew where to look. Boy I wish the sheriff could catch the perpetrators.
No more golf this week. A cold snap is upon us. 15 degrees below average (I don't like weathermen saying "normal"). That puts us in the 40's for maximums. I'm having to fire up the wood burning furnace, using up my freshly split and stacked wood supply already. NOOOOOOOOO!!
