Excedrin Headache # 17

Just time for a quick update. What a week.
First of all, I've spent absolutely no time on chores in and around the house and garden. The weather has been simply awful. Cold, windy, rainy, just plain nasty--for 3 weeks now! The leaves aren't even pretty for the annual autumn colors. Disgusting and depressing.

But I've been on the go and "entertaining" my sister. She's awaiting the arrival of a grand piano being hauled from her house to my father's. The transporter has suffered all sorts of truck problems and is 2 days delayed. But that's another story.

I've been running around dealing with the insurance people, etc., from the break-in. Getting keys made, new locks, all that. Working at my Dad's new house--he wants to move in in two weeks. Pressure.

I did get to see my newborn grandson 32 hours after he was born. My daughter had a home delivery with a mid-wife, so the baby was at her house. No drops in the eyes, no shots, no circumcision, all natural. Plus, 100% bonding time with mother, father, grandparents, et.al. I took one look at a most perfect baby, held him, and, rather than him crying, I broke down! What a thrill. He stayed awake for at least 30' as I talked to him. It's been along time (26 years) since I had my last of four babies. It felt so good.

So much for a short post! I'm outa here.
